I have an example of the 17ft Islander Sea Kayak, here in the UK, a good runner if a little old, I would be interesting in exchanging it for a slightly bigger or younger boat. I have to say I have been realy pleased with it and am not keen to loose it. Georgejbates@hotmail.com.

Hi, I'm looking for a 16-17 foot kayak called "Islander" made in England just like one I once had and had leave behind in Europe. It has been 10 years now and I'm ready to paddle around again. It is made by I think Wye Kayaks somewhere in the UK but no longer in business. It had a deck mounted compass and bailing pump with old style hatch covers. Very narrow and came with and without a rudder. It is narrow (thus tippy for some) and fast and sometimes comes in flashy colors such as British Racing Green etc. Perfect for the more advanced kayak paddlers. I hope someone out there is feeling me on this and can help me locate just one of them. Any help at all would be appreciated.
