There's lots of brave fools out there...! Problem is, who's been around the block enough to truly contemplate the joys of paddling places unknown, and concommitantly, there's the old "one man's meat is another man's poison" phenomenon, wherin what I might find apeealing another would find boring, and what whitewater folks adore scares others, etc., etc., etc. You might want to break it down into a few more managable categories, say river whitewater, ocean whitewater, flatwater rivers, and flatwater lakes and oceans. Then, too, you might think about functional classifications, such as day tripping vs. touring, current running vs. surfing, etc., etc., etc. And then, further, if part of your "best" includes stuff exogenous to the padling itself, you will have an entirely new vector to consider -accomodations (if staying overniught(s) in one "hub"type home "port"), and accessibility and/or ease of travel to/from (If remote destinations are being considered).
